I'm seriously considering buying a cobra.

Hey guys, I've lingered around in the modular part for awhile now. I own a 95 mustang GT. but I grew up with 99-04 all around me and I don't know why I didn't buy one. But now I'm thinking of buying a cobra. What's is a good price for a 02-04 cobra?

There were only 100 2002 Cobras made and they were almost identical to 99-01 Cobras aside from the extra lights, safety equipment and righthand drive needed to sell it in Australia. All 100 were shipped to Australia. 2003-2004 Cobras range from 13-15k for a mid to high mileage salvageded title all the way up to 28kish for low mileage rare color combo Cobras. Most 40-80k mile Cobras without something exceptionally special or rare about them are going for 17k-22k. GL.

How much horsepower is there in the 99-01's and 03-04's?

what he said, and depends on your location also.

99/01 4.6L DOHC engine with 320 hp (239 kW) and 317 ft·lbf (429 N·m) of torque

03/04 produced between 420 bhp (313 kW) and 430 bhp (321 kW).

I'm looking at all the cobras so it's an either or really. I wouldn't be buying it till august. And my uncle can get me somewhat of a discount. I'll probably go for a 03-04 cobra.

He is a KC deatiler. And is great friends with the owner of the biggest ford dealership.

Not gonna lie. If raw pure power was too much. I would be buying a Honda

A termi is really going to be your best bet. I'd go either a termi or a mach. Mach will be a bit cheaper but you still have to upgrade internals and add boost to make the power that a termi can with a simple pulley swap. Termi will have the six speed and better suspension compared to prior cobras. Plus the termi looks like absolute sex on wheels with the side skirts, mirrors, back bumper and spoiler. I liked the 99/01 fronts better but whatev.

Ok. So is a 03/04 cobra a termi already? Or is it just a cobra?

03/04 cobras were called terminators, so everyone just shortened it to termi. Same thing

EDIT: I should say that you don't have to do anything to an 03/04 Cobra for it to be a Termi, it's just another name for one.

nahhhhhh if you can find a termi for 13-15 i would jump on it instantly, all ive seen selling are 20k plus..... but your uncle or whomever being a deatiler(?) should be able to get you wayyyyy cheaper from a private seller ( which is where youll find most termi's) lol!

edit: on the other hand you could find a nice mach for that price range

in between 15 and 20 is what you'll pay for a decent 03/04. that will have medium mileage but be mostly problem free. a 99 or an 01 will range from 9 to 12 depending on condition.
good luck i heart my 'bra

Also, as per forum rules, you are required to post the full video your avatar is from ( IN THE CORRECT SECTION!!)

OP check my first response for prices. You can get an 03-04 with a SALVAGED title for 15k, not anything in good condition or below 120k miles though if it isnt salvaged.

I would also suggest investing A LOT of time into reading about the terminator. You have a lot of learning to do and things can go very wrong when you own a car like that and go to modding without knowing your stuff. With the risk of pissing people off, svtperformance.com has a lot of top quality tech articles about the 03-04 Cobra. Read read read.

Ok so if I couldn't afford a termi...what would be something close to that? A Mach 1? Cause I want a newer style SN95 and if I get one I wanna get something sexy. Not just a GT. (if I can that is)
