3.73 and speedo gear

Okay I just changed my gears to 3.73, the guy did change the speedo gear as well. I feel that the miles are off by a couple of tenths a mile and of course the speed as well. Is it typical to be slightly off?

This is typical . You need to go to steeda.com and order the white 23 tooth speedometer gear to correct this problem.

yes, the speedo gears just change it as close as possible without changing the transmission gear. Dont worry about it. Vehicles can be off 5mph.

Thanks guys

I do have the 23tooth-white gear now. It may all be in my head. I guess I could get a cop to clock me a couple of times to see about the mph deal. I was just noticing the mile markers to my odometer were off every couple of miles by a tenth here and there. Then later on by 15 miles later it was off by more than what seemed to be a 5 tenths or more. I was going 82 according to speedometer and seemed like I was going actually slower than that.

Thanks to eveyone so far who has replied!
