help with tuning

So , i received my tuner today and after tuning and resetting my pcm , i really didnt notice much . I was wondering what parameters i might try adjusting . My car is a 96 gt with o/r x , cai , flowmaster 40's , 70mm tb . I really dont know what the stock paramenters are , and where to go from there as far as adjusting timing and adding fuel . Any help would be really appreciated .

sounds like you need a tuner(person not the device)

you can either go with one of our outstanding vendors or with my personal tuner

is it possible that my car had already been tuned , and the tune i just loaded wasnt as good as what i loaded ? The reason i ask is , the previous owner claimed the timing had been advanced , but i called the shop that had been doing all the work on this car and there was no record of any dyno tune work done . Is there any way to evaluate the tune imformation for what is stored stock in my tuner and what i loaded ? Like lookin at the timing and fuel settings .

there sure is.

send to your "stock" tune file to a tuner via e-mail and they can compare it with a factory tune.

you have to have "livelink"

it's a program that tuners use to sent tunes via e-mail and what not.

seriously... click the link i gave you and call Joe.
just make sure to tell him i sent ya.

he is a professional tuner and can give you a lot better advice than i can

well , thanks for the help but i obviously have a POS for a tuner . I tried to save $$$ and bought the Granatelli Fuego . I only paid $279 , but after receiveng it and talking to support at granatelli , i found out that this device does not do half of what it is advertised to do . They have plans to offer custom tunes and data logging , but no tea was availabe as to when that would be an option with this tuner . This would be a good device if they would get off their arses and support the product they sale !!! Guess i am gonna try and get a refund and get an xcal

never use handheld tuners. Just go to a dyno and get a 300 dollar chip or cheaper and pay the 70 bucks to tune it.
