Trick Flow Intake

Here are the actual numbers from the mag! They had a typo so the numbers were way off! still not great and would like more reference, but just thought I would throw this out!

between 3400 and 4300 it lost power over the stock intake
that trickflow is a disappointment to me I was really pulling for it. Its up and down all over the rpm band. No real power until 5000.

And a typo, thats a huge ass typo!

Yeah! I was on Modularfords.com and read this and was like wow! I really was hoping for this trickflow as well! The guy that came out and said that there was a typo works at the shop that it was dyno'd at! Also to tell you the truth the baseline seems to be a little off as well! These are just ballpark numbers and once a few people have it we will get more real life numbers!

Ya know what I think someone should do. And I personally think they would sale more intakes than any other company if they do this. Make an exact replica of the PI intake out of aluminum and sale it for about $450 Some one could make some money.

Of course, this thread is a joke. No shit youre not gonna gain much....because youre stock bolt on car isnt sucking in huge amounts of air. I dont know the exact specs on how much it outflows the PI but EVERY intake will be the same for a non-F.I. car.

Put it on a nitrous, turbo, or s/c car....You know a car that ACTUALLY HAD A NEED for a intake. Because if youre numb enough to buy a 700 intake with a bolt on car then i dunno what to tell you.

how much more does a p-51 intake make on a stock size 4.6 with bolt ons ?? because the only advantage with a stock bolt on car is its not plastic anymore. if youre only pushing in the 200 with a PI intake, i dont really see the advantage of putting on a aftermarket intake.

here is a link that I thought was pretty good! Considering he lost boost and still gained some horsepower.

the loss in boost pressure is from a more efficient design in the intake.
