1 of the main benefit of the relay harness is that draws power street from the battery with out going to your factory wiring harness. This alows a valid 14.4 volts to go to your lights instead of whatever is left after the wires resistant to the factory harness. Most places will ship a relay harness with the lights. Where are you getting your hids from? If they are high and low beams both it should come with the harness.

35w will be less bright than the 55w. I have the 35w and I'd personally would rather have the 55w.

I have 55 in my heads and 35 in my fogs. of course I'm also running a true HID projectors in my headlights, but there is a decent difference in the output.
Where are you getting them from? if your not set on one particular store and brand, give ddmtuning.com a look. great kits great prices and a lifetime warranty.

+1 for ddmtuning.com but you will have to wait weeks for it to actually ship. only downside with them.

my mustang only twice had one headlight go out due to the ability to hold a constant voltage, my brothers Volvo s60 couldnt even turn on the aftermarket kit without it shutting off
