00 gt block in 01 cobra????

okay this has been bugging me for a bit, on jegs they have a 4.6 aluminum block that will fit 96- 04 gt, 96- 01 cobra and 03-04 mach 1. so i have a 2000 gt 4.6 SOHC and a blown block for a 2001 cobra 4.6 DOHC, so will the SOHC cast iron block work for the DOHC aluminum block? heres the link for the jegs block

Ford Racing M-6009-A46SC Ford Racing Aluminator Engines

oh yea and another thing if anyone knows..... nitrous and deoblo sport predator?? i have a NX 150hp shot on the 4.6 SOHC engine and have purchased the deoblo sport tuner and am running 93 octane tune with no spray. the nx guys say i can spray with the 87 octane tune but im thinking i should probably get a wideband gauge so i dont lean out or something, what do you think?? thanks! Jeff

not the afr's to worry about on n2o, its the timing.

as for the block, you can pick and choose as you wish. i am putting in a nvh block in mine right now, windsor 2v heads, 11in clutch, etc.

Blocks interchange, but I'd stick with the aluminum block unless you're making a big-power straight-line only car and can't afford a Teskid.

I would go with a teksid block. Its a 96-99 and some 01 cobra blocks and is the strongest aluminum block made. They arent really expensive when you consider the amount you are spending on other items. Plus the weight savings is helpful too over cast iron. Usually can be found for 250-350. I recently sold mine out of my 01 cobra for $340 and had built a 98 teksid block I got previously for 275

Is the block bad or does the rotating assembly need replacing? The reason I ask is because the link shows a compelte shortblock, not just a block.
