^ Depending on the level of "better handling" one wants to achieve... not necessarily
![]() sonicx... Installing a TA by itself would be of no advantage at all Installing a PHB by itself would help a lot Installing BOTH a PHB and TA would help TREMENDOUS, as this would allow the complete removal of the UCA's.Jazzer

I cannot tell you this
![]() Even MM has what exhausts their stuff clears/does not clear and is not always right. You can contact MM, but would expect to have some clearance issues in which to address. Jazzer

Okay, so here's the short version, in order, of what you need to address to make a fox-chassis Mustang handle.
0) Maintenance 1) Tires 2) Shocks 3) Chassis bracing 4) Geometry 5) Spring rates 0 is obvious, fix anything that's broken before modifying anything that isn't. 1 really depends on application. If you don't need an allseason, I recommend the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec. If you do, I recommend the Kumho ECSTA ASX. 2 really depends on budget and if you want (and know what to do with) adjustables. I highly recommend Bilsteins, for an adustable it's Koni or GTFO. If you can't afford either of those, the Tokico Blue is decent, though you'll lose some ride quality over the Bilstein. 3 you're already good on, as you have SFCs. If you had a 'vert, I recommend an STB, but you don't, so I don't. 4 is where it starts to get interesting (read expensive). In the back, you need to decide if you want the best handling you can get, or if you're willing to work within the craptastic geometry of the stock 4-link (at a *significant* cost savings). The PhB/TA combo has been covered, and is my recommendation. Another option is the Cobra IRS swap, but you still have to mod it to get it right (if you go this route, talk to Full Tilt Boogie Racing). Up front, at the VERY least, you will need CC plates, as the stock setup is sorely lacking in both negative camber and caster. If you're baller, an SLA swap up front is the ultimate way to go. One thing I want to say here is that coil-overs DO NOT IMPROVE GEOMETRY. Coil-overs will NOT improve your handling except as part of a larger package or by benefit of the spring rates and ability to corner-weight the car. 5 is mostly obvious, but also includes swaybars. Many people are under the impression that swaybars are one of the first things to look at; they should be the last. Best peice of advice I can give you is instead of piecemealing your suspension together, buy a kit. I recommend Maximum Motorsports for their grip boxes, but if you want the ultimate handling Mustang and are willing to pay for it, Griggs Racing is the way to go.

Ditto what Jazzer said about Maximum Motorsports. You can find used MM stuff every once and a while on different forums. I am looking to go TA/PHB but just haven't had the money.
