Speakers stopped working, not sure what to look for...

So I start up my car one day to drive to work, and got NOTHING coming out of the speakers. Dead silence. The head unit (lol head) seems to be working fine. It turns on, reads CDs and everything, and even shows it is playing music (it has a visualizer display that goes up and down when music gets loud....you know what I'm talking about). But I get nothing from the speakers. I checked all fuses in both boxes, the inline 10A behind the head unit, and the inline 60A going from the battery to the amp. It had the Mach 460, but the previous owner replaced all with aftermarket, which is what worries me. It all worked perfect up to this point.

Anyways, I've never messed too much with audio so I don't know what to look for. One thing I did find is that the power LED on the amp doesn't light up, maybe that means its busted or I have a short somewhere.

If anyone has ANY suggestions they will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, gentlemen.

Check your wiring to the amp if everything is routing to that first, then if that is true problem look at the wiring in the back of the head unit, I bet you any moneythat the "expert" before you just used splice connectors and didn't soder a thing! If not check the amp fuze on the amp itself then also the one on your amps power wire, which will most likely be in the engine bay.

Lemme know how it goes for you!

Thanks man. Turns out the 60A fuse was bad, although it didn't show any signs of being bad. I shorted the fuse and it worked again so I went and bought a new one and BOOM!

but you get reps anyways
