We cannot help you to choose tires without knowing what your needs are as a driver

Tires should be chosen by the needs of the driver, yet decided by the budget

What do you like/dislike about the Advans you have currently? That is a very nice cornering tire and probably reasonable in the wet.

it's mostly for Daily use, with some lively driving here and there. The advans were great.
seeing how i live in south florida, a balance between wet and dry is a must, summers it pours and winters its perfect out, but i cant have 2 sets, so i need something that works in both. which the advans did well, just don't know much more about other tires, i've been running with this brand for a few years now.

One must compromise a bit to have a tire that works in the Winter and is nice in the Summer. The amount of compromise on makes, depends on how much Summer grip you want and how conservative you can drive when it is wet.

The KDW2's are gonna be fine in the wet, but don't see them as nice as the Advans you currently have in the wet. The Advans will certainly be better for Summer grip, so if you can afford them, I would keep them. They are a VERY nice tire for latteral grip, but if you don't push them that hard in the corners, go with the KDW's if they can be had for less $$$

you can have as much power as you want but nothing will make more of a difference then a great tire, Mickey Thompson makes a mean street radial.. look into them

i like Sumitomos, thats just me tho. just like you MROMAN, i live in fl, originally from west palm but currently stationed in tampa. i wanted a good rain tire, grip on the track was second to me. i know it rains like cats and dogs down here, so i wanted to keep my baby firmly planted while driving in the rain. also, the sumi HTRZ is a good blend of wet traction and decent grip for not a lot of $$$ i think i bought 315/35/17 for just over $100. thats not bad considering the size. but it all boils down to what you mainly want out of the tire like jazzer said. hope this info helps! good luck with the tire selection, there's plenty out there to choose from!
