04 GT 93 Octane Detonantion after SCT tunes

I am getting some pretty bad detonation after loading in my 93 octane tunes. I dont get the diesel noise unless i let the car adjust over 20 mins after loading the tune, even if the engines hot. If i remove the tune and set it back to stock the noise goes away. I tried checking for AIR leaks in my couplings and retorqued my throttlebody bolts, they all seem to be fine. Im running 93 octane WITHOUT ethanol, ran some shell 93 but same situation. Detonation. Im assuming the tunes are far to aggressive with the timing. Heres my question: In the user options there is a place to adjust the spark timing, how can i possibly adjust this to see if it clears up the detonation? There are 5 categories GLOBAL, 0-2000, 2000-4000, 4000-6000. this canned tune isn't helping out. Its not getting detonation from the IAT because it sits at about 3 degrees above ambient which is much better than the stock airbox.

please ive been fighting with bama for 3 weeks trying to get this figured out. Immabout to datalog it and send it in to them and tell them to fix the crap themselves or im sending the tuner back.

I hooked up my laptop to my SCT LIVEWIRE tuner and did some data logging, now heres the biggest question, in order to diagnose engine detonation besides the audible diesel sounds that you hear when you go 40 and put it in 5th gear, what PIDS signals should i be monitoring? I would monitor all 1000+ but all i can do is 20 at a time, :p A few things that i noticed on my first data log here are some numbers maybe you guys can help me out. all of these were taken at idle. If you need more info on certain PIDS let me know which ones and i will data log them, THANKS
IDLE SPD VALVE min .524 max was .538
RPM ER IDL SPRK min -42.75 max 52.25
HS INH CMP RTLNS min 1.157, max 1.202
FLOW GR/SEC min .009 max .013

I had a problem with my car backfiring between shifts and just didn't feel right, this is why i will never used canned tunes again.

I would think that you should back out timing until the pinging goes away. GLOBAL sounds like it would back timing out of all RPM ranges but I can't say I'm certain. You could back timing out of whichever RPM range you hear the pinging as well.

As far as PID's you should monitor, I would look at fuel trim and knock sensors while cruising. Make sure you're not running too lean. Also make sure you're not bogging the engine down, like putting it to the floor while you're in 5th gear and cruising at 35 mph. Just downshift and that will take care of that.

Unless it's pinging at idle, you shouldn't really pay attention to what the PIDs read at idle unless there's something obviously out of range.
