Droppin in a 4v in my 01 Mustang Gt

Ok so my engine blew on me and bc i dont have time to do i build i want to find a 99-01 cobra 4v or 03/04 mach 1 engine... I have an auto transmission and was wonderin which one of these engines is the best and would fit the easiest with little modding needed to be done to drop one of these in. I was thinkin about gettin a Mach 1 4v that was for an auto trans and hopefully that would bolt right up.

Any 99-04 4v motor will work, except the Continental. Obviously an auto will make life much easier, which leaves you with the Mach 1, though I don't know if the Aviator came with an auto. The Mach 1 is also nice since it has a higher CR (10.5:1). You'll need the appropriate wiring harness, coolant hoses, and exhaust manifolds of course. If you don't want to use the Mach 1 shaker intake you can use a 99/01 Cobra intake setup.

So i found a mach 1 smashed up but engine is great condition, do i use the mach1 harness or my gt harness? For the manifolds im just keepin the ones that come with the engine and the hoses too.

Use the Mach 1 harness. Much much easier that way.

keep your tranny harness. Keep your ECU . that is all needs to be done.

When you say manifolds and hoses, i assume you mean the same as the mach right?

Yes i mean the ones that are on the mach engine and as soon as i get the engine ill post pix and make a video of the building log
