Who do you think build the best short block?

I've looked at about every moddular engine builder out there. And the name's that come up most is MMR, JDM, Brenspeed, Livernois, ModMax, SHM.

Who did you guys use on your short or long blocks?

What kind of HP/TQ are you running thru your engine?

Who is considered the best Mod motor builder?

Would you go with low or high Comp. ratio, with a roush TVS? At 15-17lbs of boost.

Also thinking on a water/meth boost cooler from snow performance. Any horror stories on people using that product?

There are many good builders out there, far more than the few you mentioned.

find one local if possible. also as far as compression ratio go lower and cominsate with more boost. another builder is ford racing the aluminator seems to be a cheap and good choice. i want the aluminator or B302 from brenspeed. i have heard horrow stories bout the MMR blocks

Go no lower than 9.5:1 compression, doing so kills preboost driveability and reduces overall power output.
