SN95 w 2007 3V swap MAF Choices?

So basically i have a 1997 SN95 with a 2007 3V swapped in. As of right now i am using the stock 97 MAF, and it seems like its pegging out due to the large increase in air flow of the 07 3V, or is just messed up over all and needs to be replaced, so before i go wasting cash i need to know whats my best option.

I have a 90MM setup from the TB all the way to the MAF housing, where it decreases to the stock 70MM(i think?) GT MAF to the filter.

From my understanding the stock 97 GT MAF is good up to about 300 rwhp? In which the 07 3V stock pushes 300 already.

What i wanted to ask is if anyone recommends any specific MAF size, or model?

Ive read that a good alternative would be a Lightning MAF which is 90MM and supports up to 400rwhp, but it becomes a mission with the connector port being squared as opposed to the rounded stock 97 gt maf port and would need to implement an adapter.

Side Note: I actually have a 90MM C&L MAF Housing from a 01 Cobra MINUS the actual sensor itself, which i tried putting my stock 97 GT maf sensor and it did not sit right on the housing so i couldnt use it. would i get any gains by just buying the cobra sensor and using it with the 90MM housing? I would presume its meant to support way more than 300rwhp like the lightning MAF.

Please note i am kind of on a budget so the least expensive route is the way i would like to go. I am planning FOR NOW to keeping it N/A.

What ECU are you using? If you are using the 05 and up ECU just got a 05 up MAF unless you plan on making a lot more power in the future. Even so, if you are running the 05 up ECU, you can run a stock 05 up MAF and use a Diablo MAFia. The other option would be running either a HPX MAF or a SCT BA5000 MAF. Both would pretty much future proof you to about 500+ RWHP. Even if your running a 97 ECU there are write-ups out there for converting to a 05+ MAF sensor. With any of these options you are going to need a tune.

Thanks for your reply!

Im using the 97 ECU. When it comes to the 07 MAF conversion VMP sells a harness i can buy thatll allow it to connect to my wiring harness.

Now is there any solution out there i can use that does not need me to tune? Or would it be possible to perform the conversion and ride for a little with out tune and not cause any issues with my motor in the long run?

My reason is because im holding off on the tune until i add a couple more bolt ons i am waiting for.

Please keep in mind im looking for the most least expensive way to go about this.
