Should I Buy This Car. 2002 Mustang GT $1800

Seller stated the car runs fine. Its a GT 2002 I believe and he wants $1800.

155,000 miles. I get to see the engine and test drive tomorrow.

Family selling the car for their relative . I have a v6 2001 right now

Is this a supercharged GT based on the hood scoop?

No. Rims and bodywork don't give it away?

$1800 with 155k miles? It's not supercharged, I can assure of that. A car like that with no mechanical problems would go for $4000 where I used to live and probably $5000 where I live now (yeah, I know the paint is in shitty condition). I'd be willing to bet that thing is a giant piece of shit. The owners probably know something is about to go horribly wrong with it or they seriously fucked up a repair.

Supercharged based on hood scoop? Yes, it is.

I have a twin supercharged v-tec under my hood. I had to put a spacer under my hood for clearance.

I wish cars were supercharged based on hood scoops.

I wonder what that would make roof scoops

nope, and if you look at the 03-04 cobras (factory supercharged) the hood is a "heat extractor" and has scoops that go down instead of up.

My mach has a functional, well not anymore, hoodscoop, wing, and body stripes. Pretty much came from the factory with a turbine engine. Oh and electric supercharger on it.

No sir. The only NE Mustang with a functional hood scoop is the Mach 1 (and I believe it is only really functional over 70mph). The GT hood scoops are fake. They're simply bolted on. Any V6 (without a Cobra hood) can buy a GT hood scoop and bolt it on just like the GTs. The Termi Cobras are supercharged and don't use a hood scoop, just a heat extractor hood. I believe the supercharged Roushs and Saleens use GT hoods as well, including the fake hood scoop.

Saleens have their own hood that resembles the cobra. The cobra R has a cowl hood but no charger. It needed the cowl to clear the 5.4 liter motor and intake.

if it rides good and checks out thats a good price for the car. Get it and sell the rims asap.

If it's a GT and you are willing to take a chance, then yeah. I would be all over it for that price because I know I can fix anything on it for pretty cheap. I am willing to bet that it's a V6 though.

I bet the interior looks just as sweet as the outside...

I buy, fix and sell cars as a hobby.... I do usually 4-5 cars a year and been doing that for about 10yrs... I wouldnt even pick up the phone to call this guy looking at the outside... If the car was 30-50yrs old I would stop to take a look in that shape, but not for a 9yr old car...
