car runs like a bucket
I have a 98 gt and i just did a PI intake swap along with march pullies, msd coil packs, and 8mm wires. I started my car up the next morning like im suppose to and it started up quick but it sounded choppy and it would pop on occasion so i just let it idle for a few mins and then i did a test run. It feels like there is a lawnmower engine in my car it back fires and has no power. any suggestions or should i just take it to a ford mechanic or what?

Well i wouldnt drive it thats for sure. When doing something like the PI intake swap you CANT do other mods right off like you did because you leave no room for error.
You may have put the coil packs on wrong. If its popping and such and backfiring. You should have left everytihng along until it ran fine with the new intake. But first check firing order. I dont know about msd but youre stockers will have the wire number on the pack. If not i can tell you what wire goes where i drove my mustang to work today. So check that first. Also make sure you are getting spark down to the plugs. Make sure they are pushed down all the way. Check all that first and get back to me. PM me if you would like.

Wow, once again I'm thankful for this site because I was pretty much gonna do what he just did in two weeks.

Well i dont like to mod more than one thing at a time. Because if something does go wrong...you cant tell what it is.

I'm with casper on this one. Check coil packs and make sure the wires are run to the right plugs.
