Stroker kit or just forged? What should i do?

Got an 01 gt with the common bolt ons. p1sc w/ 3 core, p-51 intake and fox lake rails, 42lb FRPP injectors, 03 cobra tank with dual pumps, andesrson power pipe, 3.73 gears, 75mm accufab tb, 95 mm sniper mass air, aluminium drive shaft, upr upper and lower rear c/a, tokico shocks, fr500 replicas, pro 5.0shifter and some other stuff. Also has bbk long tubes x pipe and slp lm2 cat back. Just wondering since i cant really get much more power with the stock bottom end wondering what the best way to go from here would be. Would also like to port the heads and get some cams. Feel free to let me know what you think. Car made 387hp/400ft/lbs on 8 lbs of boost.

Turn it up to 10. You got another 50+rwhp before you are pushing the limit. Just get a good safe tune.

Past that. Get rods and pistons. Thats the cheapest way. And with boost...stroker is just wasting your money.

yeah but with cams and a p/p on the heads i will be pushing it on the stock bottom end. might go with a short block from dss, or mmr.

Ok. And read what I said. lol. You can make more power than you are now...safely. Pushing it or not. Its all in your tune.

Shortblock from DSS or MMR is way more than you need to spend. All you need is rods and pistons, head change kit, main studs and bearings. Done. 700+hp capable. And way cheaper than what MMR or DSS charge.

I have been asking the same questions. Rather than buying a whole new shortblock I would like to simply build the block I have with the needed internals to push the supercharger up a bit more. Does anybody here have a link to a site that lists the complete parts list of needed internals? I know I can ask around more but figured I would ask here first.

Just answered my own question. I'm still getting used to the forums and slap myself for forgetting to look in the most obvious of places...

so the crank is good for 600hp and the block for more than that, i should just save some cash and get pistons, rods, rings and head bolts and other strong parts. along with p/p and cams. but what could the p1 be good for hp wise

Might as well do both. MMR's cheapest forged rotating assembly (for more than 600hp) is their 4.75 stroker which is also rated for 1000hp at $1799

Crank is good for 600+...not just 600. Don't limit yourself there. I did well over 650rwhp on one. Still going strong in my BB build at 600rwhp and 8000rpm.

P1s Ive seen do 450rwhp...maybe a bit more...but thats pushing it.
