Porting Heads?

I have my 02GT engine on engine stand in garage. Before I plug it in I wanted to have it ported and polished. But, where and how much will it cost???

One guy told me something about option1 matching the intake/exhaust ports size or something....VS.
option2 having a special machine porting the combustion chamber, I thinking he called it "flowing the engine."
What is the difference in hp and/or price for each option?

After porting the heads, wondering advise on which CAMS I should buy...? (might as well upgrade the cams while the engine is out of the car, right?).

i am sure there are many good shops out there for that. i would have the shop hand port the heads and custom grind you some cams. you will gain the most power that way. one shop i can recomend for that is late model engines out of texas.

It's extremely expensive, looking upwards of 1000

if you are gonna spend the money on heads you might as well go the extra bit and get them hand ported. it will be worth it. and i wouldnt recomend doing them yourself unless you have a flowbench
