how hard is it to install pipes or a catback exhaust. and can, say an h-pipe, be fit to a catback exhaust system and longtube headers? well, how hard is it to install all of it

most kits are do it yourself's. stock and shorty headers will have a mid pipe, mid length will have their own mid pipe, and long tubes will have their own as well. all cat back systems will be plumbed in stock location, the mid pipes are designed to bolt up at the stock location of the cat back.

Thats one of the problems you will have with an o/r x-pipe...

An h-pipe will give you a deeper sound and get rid of most of the rapiness...I bought a prochamber to swap my o/r x-pipe out with...I lvoe the sound of prochambers...Cant wait to put mine on...

Its very simple to swap midpipes...

ah, gotcha. to pass emissions to you need to get a catted midpipe with a catback exhaust?

youd have to check with your state to see what their emissions regulations are. I live in Florida, so there are no emission checks so I just order an O/R H pipe and flowmaster delta 40 catback. there are a lot of sites out there that have sounds clips with all different exhaust setups so I would advise listening to setups before you spend the money. and there are three parts to the exhaust, you have the headers, mid pipe, then catback- if you have LT headers than you would get a midpipe that is made to fit LT headers, if you have shorty headers than your midpipe would be a bit longer, and you would order for shorties. the catback butts up to the midpipe at the same position regardless what type of midpipe it is, and what type of headers you have.

and if you get a prochamber make sure you get the one that is high temp treated b/c the others are crap
