Brake Upgrades/ SN95 Spindles and Cobra Big Brake Kits

Obviously, MuscleMotors.com has the complete big brake swap set including front and rear rotors, calipers with pads and ss braided brake lines...but for $850. Thats ridiculous. Im finding 13' cross-drilled and slotted rotors everywhere, calipers the same and I wanted a little help on putting together a complete big brake set up for my 2001 GT without paying the sucker's price. Why is it that these cross-drilled 13' front brake rotors claim to NOT work with any other car besides the Mach 1, Bullit and Cobra? Are they saying this because its assumed the stupid customer does'nt know he has to buy new calipers or is it a legitimate warning? Another thing about this, the big brake kits want SN95 spindles now Im familiar with my Mustang but what the hell are those? Are they stock? Ive never heard of anyone replacing spindles to accomodate brake kits.

I would say the cheapest way would be to just buy a used cobra system. If you want to upgrade to drilled and slotted rotors you can find them cheap.
