Window Tint
Ok so I went to get some window tint of the back windshield and the 2 side back windows. However the guy at the place said sometimes the tint doesn't stick to the windows with those black dots that the mustangs have.
For you guys with window tint, what did you do? Did you just go right over it or did you do something else?

on my 03 i was already aware of the problem and was just like screw it. When i got my car back the tinter has put a strip of black out, one on the outside and one cut to match the inside, and that stip, was able to hold the tint down. I don't have the car anymore, but my friend has a 98 taurus and i brought his car there for him when he was away at school 4 years ago. Im gonna call him and see if the tint still holding up back there and post back. Maybe I'll see if i an get him to take a picture with his phone to show u

i been tinting for 3 years and havent had problems with setting them. the person applying the tint will have to make sure the prep is right. i like the black out over the dot matrix, that is what i did on my car.

So it won't be a problem putting the tint directly over the dot matrix?
I may just go with the black out just to be safe as well.

dude, it looked so crisp. I couldn't get in touch with my friend with the taurus who has it done too, but it even looked good on his car. Cuts a little visibility though...but not enough to affect reverse or driving or anything.
Just keep in mind if u go to darkm ur not gonna be able to see out at night. Before i got my convertible i used to have to stick my head out the window every once an a while |

I'm not talking about what it will look like. I'm talking about how it will stick to the black dots ( dot matrix)
