Hood won't pop???

It seems like everytime i go to pop open my hood on my 98 gt its like it is stuck... it usually takes me like 20 pulls on the handle before it will open or i have to have someone push down on the hood as i pull the handle... what do i need to adjust to make it work... its kinda embarassing sometimes lol...

maybe the little springs? I think those are what apply pressure to it so when it is released it pops up..

Mine is the opposite. My 98 doesnt ever want to close. I have to slam the piss out of it sometimes with my hand over the latch area pushing down. I'm just gonna say screw it and get some hood pins. You could do the same.

Just spray the latch and everything with some lubercating spray! It worked for my dads 84 silverado!

My 97 was hard as hell to open. I would pull and pull and pull and nothing. Then finally it would give and it would open. I took the hood off one day to work on the engine and after I put it back on the problem went away.... something to try...

The alignment of the hood might be off. Check the rubber stoppers, sometimes adjusting the height helps.
