Need some help/advice!

I just signed up and have a 2002 mustang GT with a vortech v2 supercharger kit. I bought it from a car lot and do not know who the original owner is nor what he had done when they installed it. I notice now I have had the car a week that when driving under normal conditions and normal speeds 45 mph in 4th at approximately 2K rpm's the car dies just dies and all guages turn off and the power dies as well. I then restart and off I go. It has done this maybe 10 times this past week including freeway and the other day it did it while idling. At idle the car just died and guages failed. Had trouble getting it to restart and finally was able to and drove it home. My friends all here in town are trying to think of what it is noticed at higher rpm's in 3rd when we stepped on it the car sort of chugged then went like the timing retards. I havent been driving it the past two days until I figure it out! the TPS was fine with no dead spots tested that we are about to check the Mass air but everyone seems to be thinking its the tune and that I need to retune it. What does the stock Vortech kit come with for tuning...do they flash it or is there a chip I dont know and Vortech's website isn't working right now. Also does anyone know right off the bat what my problem is?!!? please help someone here must know Thanks a lot -Jacob

most kits come with some type of tuner that will come with a canned tune. that tune will make the set up run safely till you get to a tuner to have a proper tune done on it.

Sounds silly but make sure the fuel filter is new. Does it die slowly or just shut off?

Had it dyno tuned, It was merely a bad chip. Apparently vortech uses a shotty chip so I had it replaced with an SCT chip
