Vacation Find - (hint rare, low mileage & Cobra)

On a recent Pensacola and Gulf Shores Family Vacation...

I looked at and purchased this amazing, super clean low mileage Cobra Convertible.
The car has original & documented all receipts 25,000 miles. It sounds, runs, feels and smells**** brand new! It was even kept in a heated garage.

The engine photos. (305 hp SVT hand assembled and signature engine)

A friend said, Wow.. it's a 10 year old, brand new car.
Now that's what I call a family vacation.

Thanks guys. The car is really amazing... like a time capsule. You could eat off the engine when I got it. I have all the paperwork ever done on it.

Inside the fender wheels looked NEW. The woman stated she had been caught in the rain.. like only three times max. In the first week of ownership.. I topped that myself.. DOH.

I'm just gonna drive it and enjoy it.

As far as the price I paid... lets just say I was going to buy a new mustang.. but ran across this one and after inspecting & driving I purchased it at a great deal.

More pixs after I got it into one bay of my shop. I put the original floor mats back in and tested out the top boot cover that day.

Thats cool if you dont won't to say. I was just trying to figure out market value for them. My dad has a 98 Cobra coupe with 21k on it. You talking about yours still smelling new and all reminded me of his, and hes asked me before what I thought it would sell for now.

You are a lucky bastard. I'm about to move to the Pensacola, I guess you just stole that right out from under me. (haha, as if I have enough $ to pay for that.)

Gotta love rich guys in FL who baby their cars!

stanglifemike, orangeRcode, YellowTorque18..

Thanks. It is pretty amazing. I had a brand new 97 in 97 and to think 10 years later.. I could still get a brand new 97 just so freakin awesome.

YellowTorque18.. haha.. If you see the first pick.. the car was literally 300 yards from the Ocean. Kept in a heated garage... next to a chrome yellow vette.

You would freak if you could have seen the undercarriage, engine, fender wells when I picked it up.

The hard part is just relaxing and driving it and not make your butt pinch the leather seat when anything gets near...

more neat shots.

little ps work..

I for some reason love the stock Cobra headlights. I have the ultra clear and love them too, but I just really dig the stock headlights.

Great find. The real question is how long will your CD player last? Those love to break, I've had two now. I gave up on CDs and just listen to radio instead.

My CD player is the same and its not broken and I listen to it everyday. Just the eject button that is loose, but it still works great!

Ryan,
Thanks. Yes the lights do make it much cleaner. Also I'll keep an extra watch on the CD.

Matt, Thanks I hope this one is like yours.

96GTRagTop,
Thanks. It really is. The hard part is forgetting about that and just driving it.

I thought my car was clean (aside of being in need of a new top) and i put 2500 miles on her the first month i had her. I bugged out after i went from 62-65 in a little over 5 weeks. I'm at just over 67 now, 3 and a half months later.
Take care of her, keep that car clean past 100k man....don't even let people breathe on her. Shoes off, no food....u get the idea........that car seriously..........just makes me want to cry.....

Mike being the expert car appraiser that I am, let me help you and your dad out. A clean 98 Cobra in excellent condition with 21k miles would go for around $3000.00, but for the father of a MM'er, I would be glad to give him say $4000.00 cash for it if he wants to sell it. let me know and I will send a truck right over.

Oh and the car looks great man. Good find. Makes me wish I hadn't moved out of Pensacola 23 years ago. It could have been mine!
