Super Charged W/ Stock Internals.

If I ran a supercharger on stock internals how many PSI could I safley run without damaging my 281 V8? If I wanted to run like 5-7 PSI what mods would I need to look into? I am pretty new to the whole mod scene and not too sure about performance mods what my car can and cant handle. Any input/feedback would help! Thanks guys!

so if I wanna build up to run say 9 PSI what should I get first. What would you recommend? I normally use my car everyday but if I super charge it i'd prolly make it a weekend car.

your going to need a new fuel pump...
your going to need new fuel injectors
and your going to need a professional dyno tune.

I would also invest in a set of gears for your rear end and some suspension mods to handle the extra power.

Sounds good dude. Thanks for the info. How much you think that would cost? Suggestions on brands? I definitely wanna change out the intake plenum what suggestions do you have for that? Would you recommend getting an entire intake manifold or just the upper plenum? I heard the 4.10 gears are a good choice. Do you agree?

4:10's are ok with a sc car.

I just checked out kenne bell website and thats a bad ass system. Does it come with everything or would I have to choose the options? you think the gears you recommended would be ideal for this setup? I could run up to 9 PSI? That seems reasonable price. roughly 5G.

the KB comes with everything you would need.

it's a twin screw so you would get instant 9psi off the line

I would use the 3:73's with it

Well I am not going to slap on a supercharger right away I want to build up to it first. I just wanna set a goal of what I want my end product to be. That way I can slowly build up to it and when I get there I will know what I am doing. Any suggestions?

i say if your intention is to blow it start from the ground up and do forged internals and do it all right the first time so you dont waste your money and regret it in the long run
