vert leak?

So my convertable leaks on my 2000 Gt. it is only leaking in the back. there are two wires one on the left side and one on the right side that go up to the rear window defroster. those wires go through a little hole in the vynil lyning that the top folds back into. those little wholes are where i belive the water is coming from. are there drains that could be plugged? or do i need a new top? . its leaking from both little holes on both sides. during a hard rain i have 2 inches of water back there!
i hope this makes sence please help! thanks

-Scott

I had a similar problem. I could never find where it was leaking from. Just after a hard rain the back would be full of water. I just shoved some towels back and washed em after heavy rain until I got the money to get a new top. Mine ended up being the rear windshield being seperated from the vinyl down at the bottom.

thats exactly what my problem is and 90% of the time thats what goes first on our tops. The seal to the rear window startes to cack and decay and water trickles in.

depends on how u go about it......

profesionally it'l prolly run u around a grand, little more little less, depending on where u go......

u do it urself.......u can ussually find tops for 3-4 hundred with rear windows included.......

i wouldn't recomend doing this urself if u have no idea what ur doing...

i guess i still dont understand why it would be coming from where it is. the window is staying dry. are there drains for our vert? it almost seems like the drain is clogged backing it up and its coming in those little holes and leaking down
