More horsepower ?
what can i do to increase horsepower to my 1998 mustang gt? right now its just stock. i have not done any modifications as of yet. i understand i can supercharger it but that would be thousands of dollars. what are some things other than that, which would in turn boost up my horsepower?

Some of the easier ways to get horse power would be to free up the exhaust system. Look into some type of cat back/ mid-pipe combo.
Look here for some of the first mods to do to your mustang: http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...e-vt11718.html

hey whats up, a popular modification for the 1998 is the PI swap, you take the heads and a few other things from a later stang, good for 30 hp i beleive.

IMO the complete swap isn't worth it. U get the biggest gain from the intake and cams, and for the money ur not gonna find a better intake. But i'd rather save my 100-150 on the cams and use it for a nice aftermarket one. Instead of gaining 40-45hp with the intake and cams u can gain up to 70-75 hp. Of course ur gonna spend an extra 1000 bux when it all comes down to it, but thats like 1 hp every 23 extra bux u spend.....well worth it IMO. |

you can get the parts from any 99-04 GT.
It depends on your bolt on set up. some parts make more HP than others. your tune will also make or break your HP numbers.

When people talk about horsepower they rarely ever talk about crank, the power to the wheels is what's pushing the car. |
