Well, What would be the application you are looking to use it for? Do you want your car to be a street monster, or a track car?

it really doesn't matter which because your internals aren't gonna handle 700 hp safely. If you don't build up the internal stuff first you will blow your engine very quickly. Good luck but do alot of research before spending money on a super charger or turbo and expecting those kind of numbers.

Yeah what GTNorm said. But if you are deciding between the 2 Turbo is better, more efficient and more hp from less boost. BECAREFUL to not go to much on the HP till you get forged internals.

Turbo's & Centrifugal type s/c'ers make more power in the middle & top of the powerband.
Roots type & Whipples, or twin screws, make better power in the lower half of the powerband. So it all depends on what you want & when you want it.

Learn about twin screw's (Whipple): Twin Screw

Learn about Roots type: Roots

Learn about Centrifugal s/cers: Centri's

Learn about turbos: Turbos

O.K. I'll bite. Why don't turbos consume power like centri's? We put headers on our cars so that we gain horsepower by reducing the obstruction in our exhaust manifolds. A turbo is an obstruction in our exhaust manifold.

because A turbo takes that exhaust gas and shoots it back up into the intake at a high cfm.

headers do add HP.

but they also lower boost.

it's all about pressure

That is what my tuner told me. He said if I go headers he would have to change the pulley and retune the car. But I still don't understand why that makes turbos better. I was always told that supercharger give you instant power, turbo delayed power.

HMUSN,

Sorry, I edited my response at the same time you were replying. I always look at what I said and wish I had said it better.

right.

superchargers make the power in the lower rmp range while a Turbo makes the power in the mid to high rpm range.

the Turbo makes MORE power than the Supercharger with less of an affect on your motor.

the turbo it's run off a belt so it's less of a drag on your engine.
