OMG TOWELS IN OIL GALLEYS

I thought i had timing issues when doing my pi cams this week. I took the valve covers off today and the paper towels i put in the oil galleys were still there. Could this have caused the problems i was having? Harsh starts, no throttle response, fine until 2600rpms, could the oil galley holes being clogged have caused this?

Yeah as soon as you start building rpm, and the engine is trying to build oil pressure, all kinds of shit could happen. The oil pressure sensor would be like "WTF?"

Sorry but LMMFAO! I have never done that before, but I did see once where a guy stuffed a shop rag in his intake when he was working on it and forgot and then it got sucked into the head and was stuck between a valve and valve seat ,he had to take the head off to remove that shop rag.

BTW, I just replace a head on an 05 Towncar with 20k miles on it, a piece of silicone glue from the factory found its way into an oil journal on one of the cam girdles and toasted the cam and head.

When I was serving my apprenticeship, we hired this young guy just starting out. His very first job was an oil change on an old Ford station wagon with a 302 in it.
He got the filter changed, the oil drained, and was filling it with oil with the bulk oil gun. One of the mechanics noticed that the oil gun seemed to be pumping for a long time. He filled it with oil all right. Right to the top of the friggin valve covers practically. lol
Fortunately the mechanic noticed before he tried to start the car, so we just drained it out and filled it properly.

Sheesh, one time I was changing out one of my tail lights and totally forgot to put blinker fluid in it.

Luckily I realized it before I left my driveway. But now that tail light doesn't work ,and its leaking. Strange........

I was in a hurry ,and I think their was still some in the bulb plug,so that why it started for me.

Lol @ muffler bearing. Thats not as bad as me not priming my air bags after my cam swap.

one time i went over 10,000 miles without changing the air in my tires, suppose to do it every 5,000 miles and well it nearly cost me a set of tires and wheels. the old air corroded the wire in the tire and my valve stems.
