96 Gt With A Vacuum Leak

I checked with advance auto it was pulling up a code saying that the evaporative system has a leak in it, I'm thinking I have a ripped vacuum tube.... does anyone have any diagrams to take off the gas tank? or possibly instructions?

I see underneath the car its got 2 straps on the tank with 3 screws... can I just drop the tank by unhooking these and lowering it or what?

yea those straps hold up the tank...

your going to want to do it on a near empty tank and make sure to hit your switch in the truck.

the entire point of this thread was to ask about the gas tank... not the code I encountered, and although I appreciate ujslost's help, your comments however Fryrice weren't needed. I don't want to give the impression that I'm an ass but like I said... the comment wasn't needed

sorrowfulkiller,
Fryrice is just messing with ya. I'm 100% sure he didnt mean anything personal. Like he said around here, we help each other out the best we can, but we do some major ball busting around here. When I joined here I felt the same as you. But after talking to a few of the guys here 1 on 1 and posting more. I realized this place is really laid back. We take care of the technical stuff and have a good time while doing it.

If there is anything we can help you with any further please do ask us.

Someone told me that the E on the gas gauge means empty?
I always thought it was E for enough!
Sounds like ragtop thought the same thing.
