My First car, if i play my cards right could be a mustang, but its a 1996 for 4000$. It sounds like crap being sold for 4000$, but i'd kill for a mustang, should i try to buy it?

it depends on many things..

mileage, color , condition and get us some pics and we would be able to help you out better.

but if its in decent shape with decent mileage then 4000 is a good price...

Need more info.

I have a 2001 GT with 400+ rwhp you can have for 13k obo.

Just to give you an idea though. I had a 1998 Gt, 5spd Atlantic Blue, loaded minus leather. Had basic and simple bolt ons and a brand new engine with all receipts and a 24/24 warranty. had 138 on the clock and was super clean inside and out.

Lowered on steeda springs with 03 Cobra wheels.

I sold it for $3k.

I was a bit low but the best i would have ever got out of it was $5,500 and that would be a hard strech IMO.

It was that or never get the car I got now.

Sometimes I wish i would have kept it as it was paid for and mine now is not.

I sold it to a friend who sold it to another friend for $5k. I think that is the most I would have got out of it.

It was very pretty though and sounded mean, just didn't have the bit to back up the bark (14.01 @ 99 mph was the best ever time).

Why do we always have to pry information out of people asking for opinions or help ?

"Hey new guy here, I have herpes ,but you think $5000 is to much for a motorcar?"

I never really got to ask about all that, we just saw it with 4000 wrote on the windsheild, (the owner wasn't there,) it had about 4in. wide dent the back, its burgandy, badge seats, tinted windows, but i never got pictures
And now that i've started to look around more, i've seen more options so i just wondered if it sounded like a good deal, but i need to call and ask about the miles on it.

I got this off google what it looks like

it REALLY depends on engine size and mileage when it comes to mustangs (and all cars for that matter) when you are asking if its a good deal.. thats like saying you found a chevy for $500 but we dont know if its a cobalt or a z06 vette..

that car had a lot more potential then that.....a full PI swap would have landed u in the 13's.......and a decent cam should have put u in the low 13's

Well Seth, if you find a car you want just check the specs etc, and then go here to see if it's worth the price it's being sold for.
