non-PI Cams in PI Heads?

Why would you do this. In several of the cars on the MM&FF site, they have FI with PI heads but non-PI cams. Why would they do that? is that like a blower cam, or is there some advantage to using the non-PI cams? Why wouldn't you want a High Lift PI cam? I just don't understand this choice.

i've read that the NPI cams have more duration than the PI cam and that the 4.6 makes power from duration more than the lift, but as for the FI part IDK
