coil packs

Have you guys upgraded your coil packs on the 4.6 motor. The ones for sale at American Muscle say 15hp on n/a motors. I was curious as to weather or not they're worth the money.

do not buy the gms ones, they work well for awhile but start making cars run like ass. if you must replace them, go with msd

Hi there, I need to know if theres coil makers in the US that would make High output coils for the Australian XR6 Turbo engine.

With the new XR6 turbo / F6 now the most powerfull Aussie built car to date, (dyno testing has shown this) we are in need of High output coils for the Aussie market.

The strap length need for the Stainless conector is 80mm or 3.15 inches and the factory coil to be replaced is the Visteon F7TU-12A366BA.

Theres a massive market here for this product as tuning these vehicles normally nets you over a 80 Hp gain with no other mods.

Theres been 8 years of this engine here and theres another 2 years on the way before production is stopped. So the market is there to be had.

The big Aussie V8 is now a yesterday car as more and more people look to the F6 310KW 560Nm monsters (true output is more like 340kw, but Ford Australia are still trying to sell the Boss V8 here and you can't have little brother shadowing the V8)

Any way please help, Australian XR6 Turbo owners with this product.

I have a 800Hp XR6 Turbo and spark is a real issue.

i have no issues with my gms coils, nothing wrong with them. if there is to ba any issues gms will back them up and fix the issue. they are nice and help on idle and top end, especially with a power adder. there is no 15hp to gain with any coil replacement. if there is nothing wrong with yours, then dont worry about it. if you are just set on another set get the msd or gms.

I agree that's why I went with a set (8) stockers (new on ebay) for $85. If I would have thought that MSD or any other aftermarket ones would produce 15hp I would have jumped on them.
