What makes them so much mod friendly.
I was reading a topic about how you could throw some cams , etc into a camaro and get 500 + hp. WTF. Is it basically just head design that causes the bigger numbers?

they have higher compression and the motors breath a lot better. heads and cam and a few bolt ons can get right around 400 at the wheels. too bad they come with a shitty 10 bolt rear

Ok, thats what I thought. We oughta make it clear that it's junk though, otherwise were gonna have new guys thinking it's worth buying.

I don't know about 500 rwhp. I have been around a lot of LS1/LS2 cars and most with a nice head/cam set up are in the 400 rwhp range.
As someone said though. They have a shitty 10 bolt stock that can break under a launch in a stock trim f-body. A 98-02 f-body with a A4, Cam, 12 bolt, 4:10's, stall, lid, and y-pipe. Is a 11 sec car and is still very street friendly.
