My 96 mustang cobra svt


I just bought a 96 cobra svt 4.6. The day after I bought it I noticed the engine light came on, So I looked around to see if I could find the problem and saw that previous owner detached one side of the pcv valve and put a breather on it but left the hose on the other side attached and open. (If that makes sense). I'm assuming this is why the engine light is on. Do you think this is damaging to the motor or is it fine the way it is? Also would you have to do that in order to install n2o? There are three aux switches in the center consol that i think were used for that purpose.

u should get ur code scanned........a CEL could mean so many things.

Welcome to the site, and post some pics up of those switches.

If they're aftermarket, u can try tracing where they go to. It might give u a better idea of what was in ur car.
