NPI outflow PI heads at .5 inches of lift or more.
http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...tch/index.html
So according to this testing (read the bottom table) with a .500 lift cam, you will get better flow with a NPI head than a PI head. But the PI heads make more power. So does that mean that the better flow through the lower lift ranges makes more power, because you spend more time in those ranges than you do at max lift? If that is true, then wouldn't you want a cam that is huge duration with max lift for a NPI head, and then you could potentialy make more power than the PI heads? |
