Welcome to the forums.

why do that much of a swap and not just go buy a mach 1? Semms like an aweful lot of work. or just mod the new GT engine to produce as much HP?

I bring this old thread up because I don't want to continue making a new one. I don't have a vert, I do have a 5 speed and a GT. I am wanting to buy a mach1 engine and swap it. Aside from the engine harness and computer, do i need to replace transmission?

No, not keeping the shaker hood.
