Ok, not to dis Stangs, but I have yet to run across one that I didn't beat. The only ones that have me a little nervous are the new shelbys. I'm also only talkin about N/A mostly stock cars. I have a 1993 Mark 8, that has only one mod...the air ride delete/coil over suspension. I mean, stock vs. stock, a 1st gen mark VIII (93-96) will usually beat any mustang, except for saleens and shelbys. And if anyone lives near Vernon, Tx, I will happily demonstrate...lol.

Lol HMUSN, thanks. By the way, I went against an 04 GT yesterday and beat it by over a car and a half. But, me thinks he can't shift really well, heard him grinding the gears later on. Anyways, like I said, I am in no way dissing Mustangs, I love the 07 Shelby, but I'd rather have my Mark 8.

I would say that it's a drivers race between 99-04 GT's and the Marks.

I have been in a mark.. it's comfy.

an 05 GT has a 40HP jump on the 99-04's though so I doubt that would be a drivers race.

You can have the Shelby.
I think it's a pig. I would rather have either an 03-04 Cobra or and old AC Cobra.

Raced any 03 or 04 Cobra's lately??? The results would be highly in their favor.

Haven't even SEEN any 03,04 cobras around my neck of the woods, but would love to pit my "tank" against one. Especially when I (maybe) decide to buy a black on black 95 LSC Mark 8. LOL

With just a few bolt-ons and a pulley swap, those 03/04 Cobras can be a deadly beast waiting to devour contenders crossing it's path.

I live in North Tx. And yes, a Cobra with a few bolt-ons would leave me far behind in his wake, I agree. But, I could do the same with my car, with enough money (too much for me). I really can't put up much of an arguement with ya'll, LOL. Gotta love stang owners!!!
