You sure its not SOHC because DOHC is in the Cobras.
You can run the supercharger on your stock internals up to about 12 psi but no more than that. As for a supercharger everyone has there own opinions. You can go with Procharger, Vortech, or Paxton. Or you could go with a twin screw supercharger and get a Kenne Bell. |

As far as block, if I'm not mistaken your stock block should be fine. Although, I'm not sure how much HP the stock blocks can handle, but I'm sure someone a little more 'Mustang Savy' for that year can let us know. It's the rotating assembly that you will want to replace. You'll want to upgrade your crank, pistons, connecting rods, etc. to something forged.
Just like tdubbs said, there are a lot of options for a supercharger. You can pick up a twin screw (like a KenneBell 2.8H ) which is very popular with the '03-'04 Cobra crowd.Or a centrifical blower (like a Paxton) that may not give you quite as much low end grunt that a twin screw will, but will pull like a raped ape on the top end!
