no i think you can go 285 safely, i mean on a 8inch rim people do 275s

I just called the auto hobby shop and they said they might fit, i just need a few more peoples to reassure me on the 285's going on a 17x9 and i will try it lol.

do you have springs?
I had steeda Sports and 275's on all 4 corners but I also adjusted my camber.. I never rubbed up front at all. a little in the back but that was my fault. I was taking turns that My stock suspension couldn't take. I chewed up a brand new tire that way..
