First off, where is blackburr? He has not been on since Oct.18th. Second, there is one easy way to settle this. I say shift at 5200 and some say shift at 6000,even as high as 6500. He needs to take the car to the track and make a run. Run the car at full operating temp and shift the car at 6500. Come right back around and run it again at 6000. Then come around again and run it shifting at 5200. Best ET wins the debate. How`s that sound? LOL

without tuning, these cars run out of putt putt after 5600+.each car is different, and depending on conditions, that will also change things. my car falls on its face hard after 5400 without a tune on a usual day, totally different story when its tuned. 300 rpms in my car will vary up to 3 tenths without a tune. it is important to get seat time in the car and know your car, that will do more than anything else. we can sit here and run circles all day long and there are valid points, but driving styles, car, conditions, etc will make the ultimate factor.
