i got $1000 tops i need at least 1 rod cause one snapped, one piston and bore it out because of a chunk that was taking out of the block and grind down the crank from being scorred up by the snapped rod. so i'm wonderin what i need to make this baby fly and i dont think it will ever rev over 6000rpms. also i was thinking a 750cfm carb would that be too big/small

D1VE heads are 1971 castings. DOVE heads are 1970 castings. They can support about 500hp or so.

Magnafluxing is how they check for cracks. Ported DOVE heads will support 500hp or so. To go much more than that you will need a better head.

The bore is the same but the 460 has a longer stroke. Rods are the same but pistons can not be interchanged because the pin height is different for the respective strokes. Everything else is interchangeable.
