Ordered a throttlebody and plenum

Hi all, just ordered a C&L plenum along with a 75mm PP throttle body, hope it turns out to be good. I have a K&N RAI and a Flowmaster H-pipe setup so far. I guess 4.10 gears and a tune will come next :-). Prepping for FI later on. Should I get spacers as well to aid the TB and plenum?

Congrats

The only thing spacers are, are $70 paper weights. They don't do anything. But it sounds like you got your mods planned good.

Yea, I've been lurking for a while around here, I'm following that sticky in the 99-04 section on the core bolt ons to pick up before FI. Looking at getting a Procharger later on.

Sounds good. Lots of people love their ProChargers.

Hehe, thanks guys. One thing I've been wondering, where in the world would one find that big red blow-off valve by procharger? Is it included with the F1-A setup? Or can a D1SC use it as well?

They all use em I'm sure. Just so you know the F1 is WAY overkill for a stock motor.

Yea, I know that for sure, gonna stick to a P1SC, or should I look into the D series? From what I understand, the stock GT motor can only handle 10psi?

Thats correct. But it really goes by RWHP. The max I would go is 450rwhp. ChrisJ swears by the Paxton Novi 2000. He says it is a blower you won't outgrow. It handles low boost just as good as high.

I've heard great things about the Novi 2000 as well, the only problem is the cool factor of the big red blow-off valve lol, or can the Novi also do that?

A BOV is nessessary with a centri blower. Do you know how they work? And you can still run a procharger BOV with a Novi.

I want a loud BOV for whichever setup, the Novi seems better priced than the Procharger, but the Procharger kits come with an intercooler, which of course is welcome =). I may need some education on centris though, I'm a newb to modding so all help is welcome.

Welcome to the forum.

Most people will tell you what they are running is best. When pricing superchargers kits you need to make sure you are pricing comparative products. I was told that intercoolers are important to safely go over 8 lbs of boost. What out for tuner kits. Their price is low, but they don't come with all the parts such as the fuel injectors, fuel pump and a few other things.

If you are uncertain about which one you want, my advice is to call someone like Texas Hot Rods which sells and installs many different types of superchargers and ask their advice.

how about a 3.90? I've seen cobra setups with 4.10 plus whatever insanity is done to that blower and engine.
