down a quart of oil
hello
I have a 2007 Mustang GT with 6000 miles on it now. I changed the oil at 2500 and at 5000 miles. This morning I checked my oil level and it was a quart down after about 1000 on the new oil! The only thing that happened different is that I did my first burnout at about 5000 rpm for about 15 seconds "power brake" ![]() Do you guys have any Ideas? I heard of oil collectors or something like that. Thanks Gary

Don't know
But if there isn't a reason for it. I would bring it into the dealer, it would still be under warranty.

a reason?
the burnout thing is a really bad idea IMHO beats the shit out of your car makes a mess and stinks, fun huge cloud of smoke though but it comes at a pretty high expense especially if your doing it in a newer stang. we used to do this to beater cars, I really have no idea why anyone would want to do that to their REAL CAR. oh and if you still want to do it? I wouldn't post it on youtube, me and every other "informed"? mustang freak check that site before we drop big dough on any used car |

a brake stand should not do anyharm at all! I did around 3 brake stands a week when i was driving my car! I say take it to the dealer, or it was just a bad read.(on a slope)

Yeah there ain't nothing wrong with it! I did it all the time when my car was an automatic! All it does is wear ur tire tread and burn some gas...

no to make you sound stupid, but how quarts of oil did you put in the car when you did the change?
