exhaust rattle-need input from the pro's

Hi Guys

Need some help.
I have Flowmaster "American THunder" 2 chamber catback on my '99 convertible.

These things tend to rattle when decelerating, especially when the weather is cold. The exhaust has enough clearance and is not touching anywhere.
Any idea what is causing this?
Do these exhaust require heat shields? (I don't have any on)

I had a BBK offroad X on my 02 GT that did the same thing. I know friends that have the same problem. The only way I fouund to correct the problem is to upgrade to a more expensive exhaust system they do not seem to rattle. I now have a Magnaflow X, and SLP Loudmouth II catback and NO MORE RATTLES!!!!

i had a rattle that would come from the drivers side exhaust tip on the hanger.
