Supercharger & Turbocharger

i was just wondering if its possible to have a twin turbo and a supercharger, let alone install one turbo with a super? and is there anyway to install a blow off valve to a supercharged stang? what would the effect be?

yes you can supercharged and turbo a car....
http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...c296e45939.htm

that is a ION redline.... I dont think I have ever seen it done on a stang but I'm sure you could do it ... but it would be a tuners nightmare!!!

as far as the BOV on a supersharged car yes you can do it but you have to have a different kind of MAF a (blow threw).... so you dont vent metered air.

IMHO go with a Twin turbo set-up or a suprcharger set-up...Unless you are a tuning god...

one or the other, u can do both but its pointless and very harmful for the car. either get good turbos or a supercharger. no point really in getting both

i'd still say getting both is a horrible idea. i can imagine the wear n tear it'll have on the car. and i cant imagine getting the big of a change in hp. turbo is guna help much more when it kicks in, but the supercharger is better off the line...but not for long. i'd get a turbo but b4 that i'd get plenty of bolt on's so the car doesnt take as long for the turbo to kick.
the evo VIII has horrible turbo lag, on top gear it raced a 1.6 or 2L car from "top" or fifth gear on a 1.7 mile road and it lost...
getting both turbo and supercharger is actually i nightmare. my also ask me if it can be done and i tell them no just so they dont get that idea of doing it.

why would it have any more wear and tear on the car then just running one or the other? it wouldnt!

Why would you want both? Put a turbo on it and be done with it. There is no reason to have a supercharger and turbo or turbos other than cosmetic apperance.

Help me! I can't decide if I want a turbocharger or a supercharger!!

I'm leaning towards supercharging the stang, with maybe a Novi 2000 or a Procharger D-1SC. To be honest, I don't know crap about what turbos are out there, I just know the basics of what a turbocharger is. I've been doing a lot of reading online, checking out a lot of turbo vs. super articles.. some biased opinions, some unbiased. They both seem to have their pros and cons.... but in the end, I want what would be ideally best for the setup I already have.

READ: I don't want to start a turbo vs. super debate!

Both do have pros and cons, but if you want the easier and cheaper way go supercharger. If you want the more efficient, but more of a hassle way take your stab at turbos.

Probable but logical

the supercharger would give you all low end power and mid range the turbo would filp flop mid high I want to do the same thing like th eother said a turners nightmare, I curious about the turbo making supercharger lose performance in low rpm and would the turbos performance decrease from the supercharger at high rpm Will it take more power than it adds

turbos make great torqu down low. do some research. turbos are the wya to go. turbo and superchagrer on same motor would be a waste of time and money

I run a blower a lot more consistant than turbos... I have talked to several racers who have run both and they all seem to feel the same way. Blowers are usually a colder charge than turbos too. If you piggyback the turbo and then the supercharger, then you are limiting your boost to that of the blower, plus you are pressurizing the compressor intake causing unnecessary stress on the supercharger.

S/C is more consistent because it's always on. Turbos boost.

Turbo in the longrun will save some engine life if you aren't getting on it all the time.

I guess that means my engine is going to have a short life :wink
I run a turbo. If I were to do it over I'd go blower

What in the hell are you talking about? I assume a "snail style" is a centri and a rocket launcher is what? a kb or a turbo?? huh?

He means centri, and deer hunting with a rocket launcher is referring to overkill.

I'd say go with a Procharger D1SC, thats what I'm aiming for. Twin turbo would be best for an 03-04 Cobra.
