speedometer

I hope somebody can help me:
bought my Mustang GT 01 with 19" wheels but the speedometer never shows me the correct speed. It's most of the time 7 miles too fast as the real speed i drive. I think i have a 3,73 axle also in it. The tires on the 19" wheels are 235/35 ZR 19. I have a diablo predator and tried to fix it but without success. Has anybody an idea?

Thanks

Mike

welcome to the forums.

you have 2 things against you.
your gears (maybe)
and your wheel size.

your going to have to figure out how far off you are before you correct it.

just line up with a friend on the freeway at a set speed like 65 and see what yours reads.

Thanks for the fast reply HMUSN

I know it's too fast because I have a navigation system which shows me exactly the speed. I have forgotten: my stang has a 5 speed manual transmission

your tuner should be able to correct it for you.

I have an Xcal so I don't know your menu options but if anything you can tell the person that tunes your car exactly how far off your speedo is and they will be able to fix it for you.
