Damn Shifters!

i just cant decide which to go with

pro 5.0

steeda

B&M

such a pain to decide

since every1 has there own opinion i wanted to see what u guys think would b best for me

01 mustang GT 5spd what month did they start with the tremec???

DD car

stock but will have bolt-ons
Once a week the car is driven hard. I.E track/street play

i hear certain shifters r a bit more aggressive, how exactly i dont know but what im wondering is are they all easier to shift than stock, as in the forced used? if so i just want the best performing shifter, also something easy to downshift. i heard the aggressive ones make it not so easy to downshift because it wants to push u to first-i think its bull but im never right about things so.....

thanks in advance

Mustangs have used tremecs since well before 2001. You're actually gonna want to figure out when Ford switched from the T-45 to the T-3650. Sorry but I don't know the answer to that question, but I'm sure a quik search will help. I know this topic has been discused a few times.

As for which shifter to go with, I have Steeda. I like it, it was a bit stiff at first, but it settled down after I broke it in. I've also heard really good things about MGW, which I will be purchasing once I purchase my Mach.

Anytime man I've heard a lot of great things about the MGW. The only reason I didn't say more was because I've only read detailed results from guys with my style of car, but supposedly they work just as good on your model of Mustang. They are pricey, but then you get what you pay for.

I don't believe so, but I'm not 100% positive.

Just in case you havent been reading any of the Mustang boards, the MGW is sweeping the market for one reason - it's the best there is by a mile. They're customer service is orders of magnitude ahead of everybody else too. Think of it this way, there isn't a mod you use anywhere near as much as that shifter. Doesn't it make sense to spend a little more for the best? Install is a breeze too. Go to mgwltd.com and don't look back. It's that good.

You don't have to with the MGW either. And the handle is fully adjustable.
