ok so i've been wondering how come the car has been running so smooth... i pop the hood and take a look around and i see to tubes coming from the firewall cut off and not being used, in my old 97 that is where the heater hose was, but i saw the hose form the back of the intake running down behind the engine , car was running and there is no leaks, i had pictures but they deleted itself somehow...i would take more but the spring on the hoodlatch is very bad and i cant open n close the hood when i feel like, its a PITA to close-spring wont extend unless coaxed to do so..

CLIFF NOTES: two hoses on the passenger side firewall cut and unused my 97 used that hose to run to the intake mani. for coolant.

my guess is the previous owner had this car pretty modded and when he was done and traded it in, put everything back to stock, TB, plenum CAI all look brand new the panel under the passenger seat was removed and things look like they were played with im guessing computer usage.

any thoughts guys?

So you're saying the car runs smooth, but you're just wondering what the cut-off hoses are for?

Do you have normal HVAC operation?
