01 And 03/04 Exhaust Sound Differences

We all know the difference between the 99/01 Cobras and 03/04 cobras are Heads, S/c, and internals. I have heard many cobras exhaust sounds and for some reason the 03's always seem to sound meaner then the 01's. Why is that? At idle the 03's sound mean and the 01's a little tame. Not that thats a bad thing but just curious. I prefer the deep loapy(spelling) sound. Just curious. I am getting ready to go the route of the Mach or the 01 Cobra. Still deciding.

Also, I am the new guy. LOl. Love the site and have been viewing the forums for quite a while. Then realized that I was not a member and needed to be.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I am in trying to pick up a Coby. Probably an 01. I would love a 03, but not in the budget right now. So that is what i was wondering about the exhaust. For some reason the 03's sound mean once you put an exhaust on. The 01's do but just doesnt seem as deep. Is it because of the lower compression?

I'm not sure either, but I'm gonna assume the difference you're hearing is the Termi is generating more power.

The Cobra Breaths better than the 01.

that's why there is a sound difference.

just like with the 96-98 vs99-04 6ers.
Welcome to the forums man.

I am also looking into a Mach as well. I have checking the forum out and from what I have read, the Machs are just as fast and maybe even faster. Not y much though. 13.1xx as appose to 13.4xx . Plus the live axle vs the IRs. So that is also in the market as well. Plus they just look mean as hell with a great suspension.

SO the 03's breath alot better and ofcourse generate more power. I have read that the Mach and the 03's share the same heads. Is that true?

Thanks for the welcome guys.
