Funny Noise On Pass Side

So I started up my car today and I hear a really weird whining noise on the pass side, I was thinking it may have been the canister for the evap system since I know that my valve is a little screwed up right now... could it be that making the noise or does anyone else have any ideas?

It sounds like it's coming from either underneath the dash on the pass side or in the fender

No, a whining noise like a supercharger almost except not as high pitched

im a firm believer that it's a pulley...Theres nothing in the dash that would be moving to make a noise like that. Im thinking its a pulley. At higher rpms, the pulley wont make much noise because its probably spinning much too fast but at lower rpms it may have a slight wobble from being loose. You could try tightening the bolts on your pulleys and seeing if that helps any.

My cold air and plenum together make a whistle noise at part throttle and when i let off the gas after full throttle but not at idle...It doesnt make a whining noise, but distinctly whistles some...

Also check the starter, that also sits on the passenger side right near the foot area. It could be "free" spinning after you start the car and could be on its way out.

Just a thought.

That's a thought... I was wondering about that because it is starting to take a bit longer to turn on the car... if that is the case does anyone know offhand how much they cost? not worried about install I could do it myself.

If it is the starter they around around $125 after you give them your core.

You also do not have to use a factory part if that is the case.
